Riverwalk

The peace flows upon my spirit from the mellow

Babbling of the river that stretches before.

In all the rush of life in the crowded city

A strange calm settles down between the people.

As the trees extend their bows to one another

So does the flowing of earthly spirits mingle.

Such a place brings freedom of the heart and

Soul into the world to greet others.

At Last

Each evening when I lie and each morning when I rise,

You are by my side, a never ending vigil.

The warmth I feel from your arms so lovingly wrapped

Around has given a constant peace that cannot be expressed.

An unchanging love I have experienced.

A gift from above I have received.

My heart's desires have been fulfilled.

And my soul has been completed.

This crusade that we have been enduring is at an end for once and for all.

Our hearts have been healing for this moment.

As the stars twinkle with excitement, we are able to share

An ultimate love at last.

This Pain

My pain is that of an unceasing river, never yielding to the world's surrounding.

None know the pain that runs deep, the pain that penetrates my heart each day I rise.

To love again would be a crime against myself. To love another again and lose this love,

I'd much rather die than renew this deadly pain that has invaded my heart and soul.

I long for the night so that I may escape into a peaceful slumber where he nor the pain will be.

But until each night, I shall continue to elude my pain when in front of my audience.

I shall not shed a tear until my hour comes when he will not know what I do.
