This Pain

My pain is that of an unceasing river, never yielding to the world's surrounding.

None know the pain that runs deep, the pain that penetrates my heart each day I rise.

To love again would be a crime against myself. To love another again and lose this love,

I'd much rather die than renew this deadly pain that has invaded my heart and soul.

I long for the night so that I may escape into a peaceful slumber where he nor the pain will be.

But until each night, I shall continue to elude my pain when in front of my audience.

I shall not shed a tear until my hour comes when he will not know what I do.

You are the One

You are the one I've searched for all of my life.

My love for you has been building as our hearts

Are slowly becoming one. My life has been full of

Happiness as our souls have been completed

With the love we share for each other.

You are the one that my heart longs for.

My heart and soul have found their other halves,

Because you are the one I love like no other.

Your Love

The love I need, the love that I desire lies deep within the one

That holds the key to me. He that holds thee knows there is

No greater love than his. His love that was once received, was

Lost and now rebuilt. That sliver of hope is now blossoming into

A whole new love. But now that my hopes have risen, will the

One I love, the only true love of mine,

Will he who holds thee....hold fast to me?

Inspiration

This world is dark and dismal, rarely letting

A ray of light shine through to feed my

Aching soul, to allow growth.

Somehow you found a way into my world,

Through the clouds and through the showers of pain.

A silver lining you have become to show me the way

Into a life of love and hope.

You are my inspiration, giving me hope and strength to

Take another step towards the discovery of my journey.

A completion you have been working on since the day we met.

Our hearts intertwining to make one.

Without saying a word, you have turned my world into

A blossoming garden of renewal and tenderness.

The cloudy days and dark skies tremble because of the

Strength you have given me.

You are my inspiration to continue my journey.

Standing Still

Physical and emotional pain consume me,

Depression becomes my new companion.

Life turns about me as I stand still.

I can't move, I can't get out.

Hatred, resentment, and revenge surround me,

Trying to become my new best friends.

My heart leaps for joy at the thought of death.

And I stand still, not able to move as the pain,

Depression, hatred, revenge, and death close in on me, trapping me.

In My Eyes

You have accomplished much in this world. 

You deserve the highest respect from all.

Your years as a farmer have given you a softer,

Caring heart as you cared for each seed you planted in

The rich soil and provided for your loving family.

Time spent serving our nation in combat has given

You strength in all situations, always making the correct decisions.

Living on the plains as a cowboy has given you a more loving heart

While you cared gently for your creatures. 

The days spent fishing, waiting patiently for the tug of a

Fish on your neatly baited fishing line has given you

The patience you need for your stubborn family.

Your garden of vegetables and flowers reflect your creative

Side as well as your beauty inside and out.

You are my grandfather, the greatest one a person could ask for.

Your life is amazing, you've accomplished more than many have.

I look at your beautiful face and see the hardships you've endured

As well as the best times. And I admire and respect you.

There aren't many in this world with such persons, as yourself, in their lives.

I thank the Lord everyday for delivering me to be your granddaughter.

You're one of my favorite persons, I love you dearly and life wouldn't

Be as bright without you in my life. As time passes, I know I'll meet

You at Heaven's gate waiting for me. I'll never forget you, always

Cherishing our time spent together.

Life

I hear the birds chattering to one another and I 

Thank the Lord for blessing me to do so.

We take life for granted too many times, never 

Realizing how precious our time here on Earth 

Really is until our life is threatened.

We believe that we will live forever, risking to

Lose irreplaceable moments with loved ones.

Take time to smell the roses in your life before

They are wilted. Drive the scenic route of life

Before you cannot drive any longer. Thank the

Lord for everyday of your life

Because you never know when your roses and 

Driving days are gone.

That's why I praise the Lord for saving my life more than once.
